Does your team have what it takes? After a successful inaugural year, the Golden Seal Charity Challenge is back with an added challenge. The Winchester Police Department, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, and Winchester City Sheriff’s Office have each formed teams to compete in the Charity Challenge to support the Youth Development Center. This year’s event is set for Saturday, September 27th and includes eight physical challenges:

• Swim

• Run

• Start a Fire

• Shoot

• Give First Aid

• Build and Climb a Log Wall

• Carry Sandbags

• Climb a Rope

This year there are two divisions: a Master’s Division for teams with all members age 40 and older and an Open Division for teams with members age 16 and older. Each team must have a minimum of five members, but may have up to six members. Register your team today to go head to head against officers in your community. There is limited space and registrations are due by September 15th. For more information on the Charity Challenge visit or
