This morning at approximately 4:45 a.m., Winchester Police were alerted that an armed robbery was in progress at the 7-Eleven on Gerrard Street. The suspect entered the store, demanded money from the register, and shot the clerk with a TASER after the clerk refused to comply with the demand. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store on foot. Officers established a perimeter and a track was conducted by a Winchester Police K9. Items of evidence, including the TASER, were recovered during the track, but the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’0”-6’2” in height, weighing about 200 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a red shirt, black jacket, black track pants with white stripes, and black and white tennis shoes.
